Dennis Hauger will join AJ Foyt Racing for the 2027 IndyCar season after signing a multi-year deal with the team.
The Norwegian driver will take over the No. 14 Chevrolet, replacing Santino Ferrucci as Foyt makes a change to its lineup for next season.
The move comes after Hauger secured IndyCar Rookie of the Year in his first season in the series with Dale Coyne Racing. He finished 15 points ahead of Mick Schumacher in the rookie standings after scoring 228 points.
Hauger’s arrival also continues a rapid rise through the American open-wheel ladder. He won the 2025 Indy NXT championship before stepping up to IndyCar this season.
His rookie campaign produced five top-10 starts and two top-10 finishes, with an eighth-place result at the Indianapolis road course his best finish.
Now, after just one season in IndyCar, Hauger will move into a new chapter with Foyt.
“I’m really excited to join AJ Foyt Racing and take this next step in my IndyCar career,” Hauger said.
Team president Larry Foyt said the team had been impressed by Hauger’s progress throughout his rookie season and believes he has the potential to continue developing with Foyt.
The 2027 season will mark Hauger’s first campaign with the team and his second full season in IndyCar.
