Isack Hadjar is expected to miss this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix after suffering a wrist injury during Formula 1’s summer break.
The Red Bull driver reportedly picked up the injury during a training session, leaving him in doubt for the return to racing at Zandvoort.
Hadjar is expected to undergo a medical assessment before the weekend, but the latest reports indicate that he is unlikely to be cleared to race. Red Bull has yet to formally confirm his absence.
Lawson in line to replace Hadjar
If Hadjar is ruled out, Liam Lawson is expected to step up from Racing Bulls to partner Max Verstappen at Red Bull.
Yuki Tsunoda would then be in line to replace Lawson at Racing Bulls alongside Arvid Lindblad.
Lawson’s potential return to Red Bull would come at the same circuit where he made his Formula 1 debut in 2023, when he replaced the injured Daniel Ricciardo.
A final decision on Hadjar’s participation and the resulting driver changes is expected ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix.
